Vaisala's weather API and mapping platform (formerly AerisWeather), paired with Vaisala's observation hardware.
Xweather is Vaisala's weather data business. Its REST Weather API returns observations from more than 15,000 stations, forecasts and historical data, and the MapsGL SDKs for web, iOS and Android render weather layers. Further products cover lightning detection with an archive back to 2016, 60-minute hail forecasts, wind alerts, 30-day subseasonal outlooks, solar irradiance and road surface conditions through RoadAI, plus WeatherDesk, a global desktop application. It lists energy and utilities, renewables, mining, aviation, automotive, road maintenance, finance and insurance as its markets. A free developer key is available, and the Weather API is sold pay-as-you-go.
